Hey @Ben Yi I have used Standard Ledgers resources, some really great advice these guys work with a tonne of startups. There is some good reading there if you need help getting things setup I would recommend their team. https://www.standardledger.co/articles/

main mistake I made was a name that was very close to a trademarked business which resulted in disputes. 10/10 do not recommend! finding names and trades is super tough I would just create something for now that lets you take money and benefits of a company, but look to accountants for further advice. ESOP pools are something you should consider when it comes to it, from my experience its cheaper to get everything sorted in one go but depends where you are on the journey. ESOP is a whole other conversation and has a lot more to do with founder dynamic and peoples comittments or sweat vs putting in cash. I would just make sure you have a super tight shareholder agreement that covers various exits of different people so all potential things are handled.

hi @Sean Grealy - Other than trademark, do you think business names can be a problem as well?  i have seen many business names close to each other, really differ by including and excluding pty limited. AB Vs AB Pty Ltd.
